The study aims at exploring the effect of conflict management techniques on employees’ job performance in Federal Colleges of Agriculture in South-West Nigeria. A descriptive research design was used to solicit information from employees, and the instrument used was a questionnaire. A multistage sampling technique was used: the first stage was random sampling of 2 colleges out of 5 colleges in South-West Nigeria, and a random sampling technique was used to sample 162 employees from 1,621 employees in the 2 colleges. Data were analysed using frequency counts, percentages, the mean, and the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). Structural factors ( =3.0) were adjudged to be the predominant determinant of conflict in the two colleges. Collaborative was the most effective technique ( =4.0) that brought the harmony necessary to increase employees’ performance in the two colleges. Job performance was statistically significant to conflict management techniques. Organization directors and managers should sensitize their employees to techniques to resolve conflicts and create an enabling work environment that will enhance job performance.

This study examined the consumers' preference for fish products types in Iwajowa local Government, Iganna Oyo state, Nigeria. This study used data from a primary source and descriptive statistics such as frequency, mean and percentages were used to the analysed the data collected. It also utilized a Multinomial Logit regression (MNL) Model to determine the consumers' preference. The results showed that about 68% of the respondents were female and approximately 32% were male. The mean age and household size is 35.55±11.01 and 4 ±2 respectively. Result revealed that 57% of the respondents had formal education. About 29%, 31% and 38% of the sampled consumers preferred fresh, smoked and frozen fish respectively. There is no clear-cut distinction in preference for a particular fish product among the consumers and the respondents were not so concerned about the nutritional quality of the fish consumed. The mean income of the respondents was N28,883.72 (USD17.17) per month with a standard deviation of 34,219.02 (USD 20.31). The study revealed that N 1,629.96 (USD 0.97) as the per day expended on fish on average while N1,467.73 (USD 0.87) was on close substitutes. The mean income and amount expended on close substitutes was relatively low among the respondents. Gender, household size, fish price per day, price of fish close substitute, health status and fish quality had significantly effect on the consumers’ behaviour for consumers' preference for fish products consumption. It is recommended that there is need for quick intervention by the government to create awareness to consume fish of a good nutritional quality and a concerted effort to improve the standard of living of the respondents. Fish farming should be encouraged to boost production of fresh fish. This will go a long way to improve fresh fish protein consumption. Fish industries are also advised to incorporate all the identified factors affecting fish preference into their policy.

Organizing small agricultural producers into cooperatives can improve production value, operational efficiency, and access to European funds. The study analyzes the evolution of collectivization in Romanian agriculture using open-access literature and official data from theMinistry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Data were statistically processed and graphically represented to examine geographic distribution, cooperative status, and economic performance, while identifying challenges faced by Romanian agricultural cooperatives.Principal component analysis (PCA), heat maps, and volatility coefficient analysis were employed to uncover territorial patterns and assess the stability of cooperative development across Romania, providing a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing cooperative dynamics at the county and regional levels. Findings reveal a concentration of cooperatives in certain counties, reflecting infrastructure differences, cooperative traditions, and institutional support levels. Many cooperatives struggle beyond initial stages, with financial performance remaining fragile due to governance difficulties, limited market access, and funding challenges. Access to European funds and external support could greatly enhance cooperative sustainability. The study underscores the critical role of agricultural cooperatives in rural development and suggests policies for increased durability, including ongoing fiscal support, member professionalization, and short supply chain development.

In this paper we used a dimensional scoring methodology on a 127-item questionnaire (with nine critical dimensions) to assess the HACCP system's implementation in 392 public food establishments in Romania. The findings show serious flaws in the infrastructure for food safety: 95.4% of the units had insufficient provisions for supplementary facilities, and 87.5% of the units received quality control scores lower than 5/10. Sixty-one percent of the staff has inadequate training, and there are serious issues with service coordination and technological flow management. However, protective equipment is better managed (77.6% moderate scores). Statistical analyses indicate significant associations between FIFO application and labelling (χ2 = 12.6; p = 0.013), as well as between supplier certification and documentation control (χ2 = 17.5; p = 0.002). Geographical differences and educational level influence overall performance. The study highlights the discrepancies between the requirements specified in legislation and the need to implement systemic interventions focused on traceability and continuous monitoring.

The purpose of this research is to comparatively analyze the results of diagnosing the operational risk using the break-even method for agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. Our investigations have shown that the increased share of constant costs and expenses did not generate a high operational risk, given the fact that in the vicinity of the break-even point the elasticity of the operating result is low. The comparisons of the dynamics of rates of return and leverage showed the following: - the decrease of debt degree caused the attenuation of the downward trends of return on assets and return on equity, which indicates the reducing of capital capacity to generate profit; - the growth of debt degree within reasonable limits conditioned the positive difference between return on assets and interest rate, showing a major trend of increasing financial performance.

The purpose of this research was to assess the structure and dynamics of tourist accommodation capacity in Giurgiu County during the period 2015–2024 and to identify its implications for the implementation of circular economy principles in local tourism. The analysis followed both the structural characteristics of the market and its potential to support a sustainable development model, based on diversification, efficiency and integration into the local economy. The methodology was quantitative, descriptive-analytical, based on official data from the sources of the National Institute of Statistics. The data set included the total accommodation capacity broken down by type of structure. The processing involved the calculation of absolute and percentage variations, weights by type, as well as synthetic indicators of evolution, coefficient of variation, average annual growth rate, CAGR, and structure, Herfindahl–Hirschman index, Simpson index, Shannon entropy, effective number of types and Pielou equilibrium index. The results highlighted a high and constant concentration of accommodation capacity around the hotel segment, a low typological diversity and an unbalanced distribution between the types of structures. The low coefficient of variation indicated structural stability, and the positive but low CAGR suggested a slow pace of expansion. These characteristics limit the flexibility of the market and reduce the capacity for a balanced distribution of tourist flows and pressure on resources. The resulting conclusions indicate the need for a deliberate transition towards a circular tourism model, capable of reducing the degree of concentration, diversifying the typology of structures and integrating local economic chains. The proposed model, structured on six strategic components, typological diversification, optimizing resource consumption, circular waste management, integration into the local economy, community and tourist involvement, as well as performance measurement and reporting, provides an applicative framework for increasing the resilience and sustainability of tourism in Giurgiu County.

The poultry sector matters as it is one of the most consumed types of meat in Romania. It is a sector that has greatly benefited from both public and European funds and it also registered an increase in animal welfare through a series of dedicated measures. Ultimately, the investments have generated a series of improvements to the poultry farms and to the production capacities. The enormous importance of the sector for Romania's national economy and for the country's food security is presented, and the need for a continuous flow of financing to guarantee its stability is emphasized. It is a strategic sector that requires constant attention, yet if properly cared for, it may provide high outputs and become a key element of agricultural economics at regional, national, and European levels. This article examines the dynamics of the poultry sector in Romania from 2019 to 2023, with a particular focus on the North-West Region and Bihor County. It presents the challenges and opportunities that the pandemic presented to the sector and how it developed with the help of subsidies. Both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies were employed in the study's creation, enabling the identification of key advancements as well as possibilities and challenges. Statistical data taken from the National Institute of Statistics were used. Also, the Annual Activity Reports of the Agency for Payments and Interventions in Agriculture, as well as the Selection Reports of the Agency for Financing Rural Investments, for the Intervention DR-20: poultry component, were analysed. The article highlights the fact that Bihor County was a beneficiary of European and national funds, which favoured the development of the sector, chicken meat being a star of the national market.

Irrigation is essential for food security, but freshwater scarcity necessitates using mineralized water, which can degrade soil quality. This study analyzed the long-term effects of irrigating dark-chestnut soil in southern Ukraine with mineralized water from the Ingulets system and the economic impact. A stationary field experiment (1971–2020) assessed soil quality (cations, salts, sodicity) and water properties. Statistical analysis (Mann-Kendall, Sen's slope, ANOVA, regression, correlation) in Python 3 showed that Ingulets water (Class II, high mineralization) remained unsuitable for irrigation. Over time, irrigation increased sodification, toxic salts, and sodium while reducing calcium, harming soil structure and fertility. Fertilizers mitigated salinization in deeper layers and improved cation content. Economically, irrigation increased wheat yield by 0.82–1.66 t/ha, with pure additional profit of $206–$403/ha after deducting amelioration and fertilization costs. Despite soil risks, irrigation with mineralized water is economically viable in semi-arid regions, especially when combined with fertilizers and land reclamation practices.

This study aims to examine the economic structure and performance of egg-producing poultry farms in Türkiye. A total of 68 farms operating in the provinces of Afyonkarahisar, Konya, Manisa, Antalya, Burdur, and Isparta were evaluated in five groups according to flock size; the data cover the 2022 production season. The majority of farm owners have a high school or higher education level, and their experience plays a determining role in profitability and production management. As farm scale increases, the adoption of modern production systems (88.24% enriched cages), the rate of organisation (77.9%), and profitability also increase. Feed costs constitute the most significant portion of production expenses (67.05%), with an average unit egg cost of 1.27 TRY and a selling price of 1.55 TRY. Small farms still face limitations in cost management and access to financial resources. The findings indicate that economies of scale, modern production systems, and effective cost management are critical for profitability. To achieve sustainable profitability, strategies such as improving feed efficiency, encouraging organisation, expanding modern cage systems, and facilitating financial access are recommended.
