As we all know, tourism means one of the most important socio-economic sectors of the world that is in a constantly expansion, which in the second half of the 20th century, recorded an average rate of 4-5% per year. This article aimed to highlight the existence of complexity of the tourism systems, thanks to which there are an infinite number of indicators that can quantify sustainable tourism development. According to the literature review there are quite many authors who have tried to develop such indicators and create some specific theories and methodologies of sustainable tourism. However, regardless the model or method applied the need for estimation and forecasting of tourism activity will remain an essential advantage in adopting strategic decisions in order to maintain the sustainable development of tourism.

This paper aimed to analyse the evolution of domestic production and consumption of chicken in Romania during the period 2006-2015. Romania's poultry meat supply was influenced by the value of inputs, reducing trend for the specific feed consumption, increasing the average daily gain, reducing mortality as a result of the implementation of good practices, and capitalization of production. This study covered the 2006-2015 period and was based on statistical data provided online by the Romanian Institute of Statistic and professional magazines. The production of poultry meat in Romania has been developed during the analyzed period and was influenced by the applied technology, as well as by impact of the subsidies which led to improvement of the production's performance. The results indicated by the regression method revealed the relationship between poultry meat production and the sales price of poultry meat in Romania, because the increase of the market price for poultry meat made this product more attractive to producers.

In the new economy based on knowledge, harmonization of the related accounting intangible assets is far from being completed. Conducted research identifies a number of controversies related to the recognition of separate initial measurement, subsequent measurement, measurement, depreciation and amortization of these categories of assets, as well as the requirements and applicability of accounting standards specific intangibles studied and the financial reporting related. The practical activity reflects the fact that unlike tangible assets or financial, the undertaking may hold a full control of the intangible assets, and this is the reason for which the activity of management and reporting of them in the current systems of financial reporting is quite complex. Poor control of these assets generates side effects on the ability of the undertaking concerned to obtain the benefits of the investment.

For some, building one’s own home can be a unique opportunity in a lifetime. That is why the choice of project, materials and finishings is paramount. Any homeowner wants a comfortable house, which is durable, insulated, easy to maintain, and, why not, built with least costs, but using quality materials. Brick and Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) are the most common materials on the Romanian market when it comes to building a house. Although these two materials have been on the market for years, most manufacturers still use them because of the advantages presented in time by houses constructed out of them. Brick or AAC homes have a longer life compared to the ones erected with other construction materials and feature increased safety in terms of structural strength. Also, brick or AAC houses have the advantage of much better sound insulation than wood, for example. In our country there are sufficient resources for masonry, depending on the cost invested by the owner, at the same time displaying the characteristic properties that can provide the required safety of the building. Ceramic bricks and blocks produced here have diverse sizes and shapes, being able to meet the demands of any architect and customer

In this study, it was aimed to compare organic and conventional strawberry seedling cultivation media in terms of cost and profitability. This study was carried out in the Apricot Research Institute in Malatya province, Turkey. Albion and Sweet Charlie varieties were used in the experiment. The production costs of Albion and Sweet Charlie strawberry varieties were calculated in different growing media. Calculation of the production costs of the fresh plug strawberry seedlings was done in two steps. First, the production costs of strawberry runner plants were calculated, then the production costs of fresh plug strawberry seedlings were found. According to the results of the research, the cost of a runner plant was found to be the highest for the Albian Biodecal application, while the lowest was detected for Sweet Charlie Control application. According to different applications, the cost of strawberry branch plant was determined as 0.376, 0.341, 0.273, and 0.235 TL/unit for Albian Biodecal, Albian Control, Sweet Charlie Biodecal and Sweet Charlie Control applications, respectively(1 USD=3.02 TL in 2016, average). When the production costs of Albion and Sweet Charlie strawberry seedling obtained from Biodecal application were compared with the sale price, it can be said that production cost was lower than sale price for all the organic growing media (except for IT (Imported Turf) growing medium for Albion strawberry seedling obtained from Biodecal application), but in the conventional growing media, production costs was found to be higher than the sale price. Similar results have been found for the strawberry seedlings obtained from the control application. When organic applications were compared with each other, it was determined that KP (1:1 ratio local turf: perlite) was the growing medium which had the lowest production cost for Albion strawberry seedling obtained from Biodecal application, OE (1:1 ratio local turf: perlite + ecoflora providing 50 mg kg-1 potassium) for Sweet Charlie strawberry seedling obtained from Biodecal application, KP for Albion strawberry seedling obtained from control application and OE for Sweet Charlie strawberry seedling obtained from control application.

Latest developments demonstrate that the constantly imposed barriers to Moldova’s agrifood export by the Russian Federation highlighted the most vulnerable points of the foreign economic activity, especially the relatively low share of exports of processed products, low diversification of the markets, the large number of traditional products in traditional markets. Refocusing on the European Union market has a slower pace than the loss of East markets and the prospect of alternative destinations (Middle East, for example) is very difficult. Based on price and nonprice competitiveness, the agri-food exports of the country are much less advanced than those of competitors, which further complicates the dynamics of foreign trade.

The paper aimed to analyze the concentration degree of apple production in Romania based on the empirical data provided by the National Institute of Statistics for the period 2007-2016, and Herfindhal-Hirschman (HHI) and Gini-Struck ( GS) indices. The surface of apple tree orchards was 57.5 thousand ha in 2014, by 6.2 % less than in 2007, and in 2016, the number of apple trees accounted for 24.7 million, representing 79 % of the number if trees existing in the first year of the analysis. Also, the apple production declined by 1.8 % from 475.4 thousand tons in 2007 to 467.3 thousand tons in 2016. The only positive aspect is that apple yield increased by 20 % from 7.75 tons/ha in 2007 to 9.3 tones/ha in 2016. The HHI ranged between 0.1926 in 2007 and 0.1910 in 2015 and the GSI varied between 0.2779 in 2007 and 0.2747 in 2016, reflecting a moderate concentration degree of apple production in Romania, meaning that between the eight micro-regions of development there are a few differences of performance. Despite that Romania comes on the 3rd position regarding the apple orchards surface, it is placed on the 8th position among the most important apple producers in the EU. In order to increase apple production and yield, it is needed as the Romanian apple producers to create new intensive plantations based on investments in modern technologies and technical endowment which assure the economic efficiency in apple tree growing.

Machinery and implements used in agricultural product/on work in media of lives - the soil, livestock and crops. Certain features of these media determine the possibility and extent of mechanization of works relating to them. In the tropical rain forest areas, mechanization remains the greatest obstacle to the expansion of production and therefore constitute great problem to food and primary raw materials supply. This paper highlights the problems, discusses the problems as well as the correlating factors and the possibilities of improving on the level of mechanization in view of the present technological and socio- economic development of the peoples of tropical rain forest areas of Nigeria. The work is an original scholarly research based on review of relevant publications and visit to several locations within the Tropical Rain forest belt. The results reveal inadequacies managerial skills and in appropriate deployment of technical staff as well as poor education as major factors for the insufficient understanding of the soil-machine-crop-climate relationship which is the bedrock for conscientious planning and execution of mechanization. The paper is aimed at drawing the attentions of the relevant authorities charged with ensuring adequate availability and supply of food and raw materials for the populace and the industries to the need to purposeful mechanization. The paper ends by making some practicable recommendations and warning of the dangers of not mechanizing farm production as well as the implications of failure of mechanized farm projects in the tropical rain forest zones.
